Dear Trustees,
Miigwech.
On behalf of Noongwa Wellness, thank you for Nawash Community Trust’s generous contribution of $50,000. We
are deeply grateful for your partnership and for your commitment to improving health and wellness within
Saugeen Ojibway Nation Territory.
Your generosity is helping bring to life a vision years in the making: an Indigenous-owned and operated place of
healing where community, culture and compassionate primary healthcare come together.
Located in Neyaashiinigmiing, within the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation Coldwater Trust, Noongwa
Wellness is creating a welcoming environment where individuals and families can access culturally grounded,
wholistic care closer to home. Our approach recognizes health and healing as a continuum encompassing mind,
body, emotion and spirit, while honouring the connection between culture, community and the natural world.
Your generosity has helped bring the temporary clinic to completion. This progress reflects the importance of
community-led care and the Trust’s support for a place of healing rooted in the community it serves.
Your support represents much more than a financial contribution. It is an investment in Indigenous-led healthcare
and a model of care rooted in dignity, trust, relationship and respect. Most importantly, it is helping us create a
space that will benefit community members today and for generations to come.
We look forward to keeping you and your colleagues informed about our progress and the impact your generosity
is helping to make. As Noongwa Wellness continues to take shape, we would be pleased to welcome Trust
representatives to visit and experience firsthand the vision you are helping bring to life.
Thank you again for believing in Noongwa Wellness and for walking alongside us on this journey.
With sincere gratitude,
Pernell Jones
